| Cherokee Culinary Arts is a group of dedicated cooks and professionals who realize there is more to cooking a Cherokee meal than just putting things in pots and skillets and cooking them. Traditional foods are only traditional when cooked by those who understand, practice and formulate the meals that our ancestors would have prepared for their families, clans and guest. Be it an ordinary daily meal or a festival, we cook like they did. We can not charge for, sell, hog meat or buffalo. When the menu is for these meats it is customary that the person ordering the meal from us will make a donation to us in exchange not for the meat, but for our services as cooks. (cook = Adasdayvhvsga) Here are sample menus, and the most often requested menus, for your consideration: Sagwu or One: (About: $10 per person) Sihgwa or `Hog Fry Meat Tuya or `Brown Beans Gvjahlvsga Gadu or `Fry Bread Digalvnvhi or `Possum Grape Dumplings Tali or Two: (About: $12 per person) `Hog Fry Meat `Brown Beans Gvjahlvsga Selu or `Fried Corn `Fry Bread `Fruit in Season Joli or Three: (About: $18 per person) `Wild game meat (In Season, depending on availability) deer/quail/rabbit/squirrel (Ahawi/Guhgwe/Jisdu/Saloli) `Corn on the cob `Roasted potatoes `Fry Bread Nvhgi or Four: ($21 per person) Buffalo - Yansa (roasted) `A vegitable (corn or beans) Potatoes `Grape dumplings `Fry Bread ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BEVERAGES: Bottled water and/or bottled tea - Sasaphras Tea (when available) - coffee _________________________________________________________ COST: The cost of a meal will have different variables, such as if the meat is in season, availability, and the work to obtain product.
